Western Skies

Interesting sky outside my door. The sky can be so fascinating. Lately we’ve had windy evenings,  often with thunderstorms rolling in over the hills. My daughter and I have started a new tradition; watching the sky and telling/reading stories every evening. The weather makes for a dramatic setting for stories.

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”

― Albert Einstein

I’m trying to read to her in Swedish, and tell her Swedish folk stories. She LOVES stories, but right now she’s unfortunately not as interested in hearing them in Swedish as she used to be. I’m not pushing it, just giving her the option every now and then. Maybe we have to make a trip to Sweden soon, so that she can experience the practical use of learning a second language 🙂

I hope YOU had a great weekend!

  1. Hoppas att Hayley kan ha svenskan levande. Längtan kommer säker tillbaka att höra och prata svenska.
Ville bara förtydliga att visst skall man åka och besöka platser men om man inte kan, är det perfekt att bloggar och hemsidor finns. 🙂
    Kram!
