Summer Pasture

A couple evenings ago my daughter and I went for a walk, and visited a nearby summer pasture. There’s three very sweet brood mares on this pasture. Especially two of them loves attention. They  love it so much that they endure endless hugs and kisses from my little girl.

The sky was getting darker and darker as we continued our walk. Since we don’t really mind getting some rain on us we didn’t turn around.

Ask me to show you poetry in motion and I will show you a horse.

Since we live in the desert, and the days usually are very hot, I try to make sure that we get some outdoorsy exercise time early in the morning, and when it cools down in the evening. I’ve noticed that it’s much smoother to put my daughter to bed at night, and that she sleeps much better if we take a walk before bedtime.

Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. This five-minute-a-day regimen of appreciation and gratitude will help you to focus your life in awe.

I hope you’re having a pleasant evening,

PS. We did get some rain on was very refreshing!
