In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Beneath Your Feet.”
This morning on my morning walk I was experimenting with this week’s photo challenge.
This week, look down and capture the ground beneath your feet.
To be honest I didn’t see the perfect photo in my head. I was busy enjoying the peace of the morning, the smell of fresh sagebrush, and the happy feeling that is unique for Sunday mornings. I thought to myself (with a twinkle in my eye,) “at least my dirty Ariat’s are way cooler than most peoples shoes..lol.”
As I was about to put the cap back on my lens, I decided to look through the camera one last time. This is what I saw.
Well..it’s not beneath my feet, but right next to my feet, always by my side. My faithful dog Whitey. This dog means a great deal to me, so there’s definitely an emotional attachment, that makes me like this photo more than the previous one.
How can you not like all this happiness? 🙂
Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.

I love these weekly photo challenges, because it gives a unique opportunity to , even if just for a second, visit so many different part of the world. It’s very inspiring to see the world through the eyes of other photographers capturing the same theme, usually in a completely different way.
PS. Feel free to leave a comment with a link to your entry, if you’re participating in the photo challenge!
