We cannot stop the winter or the summer from coming. We cannot stop the spring or the fall or make them other than they are. They are gifts from the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what we will contribute to life when each arrives. – Gary Zukav
As I was out playing with my daughter this weekend, I looked down, and saw this pattern in the ice, mixed with leaves from the trees nearby. I thought it was beautiful and went inside for my camera.
How was you weekend? I sure hope it was good! Mine was relaxing. No work. Just spending time with my daughter, doing different projects with her. It’s been very windy in our part of Nevada, and we spent some time just watching the clouds, and making up stories about the passing clouds.
My daughter also put her mind to learn crochet, which we dedicated a lot of time to this weekend. She is only three..and the most exciting part for her is to unwind the yarn, and make magic (her own words.) She wants to make a scarf for herself. It had to be purple, to match her winter jacket. lol. She is a very determined young lady. However, I have a feeling that I’m going to be the one doing the most of the work. Which is totally cool. I like that she wants to learn. It’s not so important at this stage to see an actual result. She did get the basics, and had fun. Hopefully that will leave her with a feeling of success, a boost for her confidence.
Enjoy the new week!
