I’m going to start the new year, with a brand new series of blog posts; Amazing Places in Northern California. It’s based on wishes from several of my amazing (that’s YOU) followers.
Northern California, is definitely one of my favorite areas in the whole world. For good reasons, it features some of the most spectacular nature; ranging from the Pacific Ocean, to deep forests, amazing parks, exciting trails, big rivers, and some really unique small towns. The wide open spaces, and the ever present mountains, are naturally two major factors that attracts me to the area.
I’m going to share photos, thoughts, some local culture, and impressions from this corner of the world. I hope that you will enjoy this series. Maybe you get some inspiration for your next road trip, or simply enjoy the virtual tour. Part of my new year resolution for this coming year, is to become a better story teller. Learning by doing have always been my way, so I’m going to practice on you 😉 I hope that’s OK!
I’m going to start out light, with a park that my daughter and I visited last week. In this first post I’m going to take you to Clover Creek Preserve. It’s actually one of my favorite parks, in Redding (CA.)
Clover Creek Preserve, is a beautiful city park. It was originally created to maintain flood control for endangered properties in the city of Redding (CA.)
The park serves as a natural environmental restoration, and educational area.
Clover Creek Preserve, features a great trail system, and attracts runners, hikers, and bicyclist alike. It’s a very popular spot for dog owners to bring their furry friends (it’s an on-leash park only.)
The park is very peaceful, and only ten minutes (by car,) from downtown Redding.
If there’s anything in particular that you would love to see/read about in Amazing Places in Northern California, please let me know!
Happy New Year! Gott Nytt År!
PS. A selection of the best shots from the series will be available as prints, in my gallery.
