Morning Wisdom

I remind myself every morning: Nothing I say this day will teach me anything. So if I’m going to learn, I must do it by listening. – Larry King

I’m going to try to live by this saying today. I find it more challenging to really listen with an open mind when there’s lots of distractions around (clutter, high noises, smells etc.) Out in nature my mind is wide open. I can hear my own thoughts, and digest information given to me. I’m pretty sure it’s a primal need.  I’m grateful for every second I spend outdoors.
In my gratitude challenge last Saturday I wrote about two new teachers in my life. Here is one of them. Maverick is a 4year old German Shepherd that will be my partner in crime from now on. He is a highly intelligent dog, with a big heart, I feel blessed that he found his way into my life. I will share more as we get to know each other. I hope you get to enjoy some fresh air, and beautiful nature today!

  1. If I can not spend time in nature, my mind clogs up, so I am sure it is a primal need too. We also have one of those, except she is a Belgian Sheppard (Groenendael) and called Melchi’ore. Some times I get the distinct feeling she can read my mind…very intelligent dogs indeed. Enjoy him!
