This morning WordPress told me that I’ve been blogging for one year! I kind of new that it must of been close to a year soon. One year with this blog that is. Here is an excerpt from my very first post on this blog:
My grandmother gave me my first camera when I was five years old, and I’ve been taking photos ever since; different cameras, different people, different countries, but it’s highly unusual to see me without my camera.
I only have a couple addictions that I don’t want to live without; strong coffee in the morning, wide open spaces, the joy of hearing my daughters laugh, country music, the pleasure of being around a brave horse, and ending each day in peace. One of my personal goals is to ride The Tevis Cup, (the worlds toughest endurance race.)
I recently moved to Reno (NV,) and I am in the process of taking my photography business to the next level. Horses is my number one passion, and have been since before I could walk. Naturally there’s been a focus on horses in my photography business as well. Lately I’ve discovered a demand for other forms of outdoor portraits, and after some consideration I’ve decided to start all over, with a new business plan, a new website (actually two; one gallery, and one blog,) and do it under a new name.
It’s a little scary to start all over, when you already have a working concept, but I know that I would regret it if I didn’t follow my gut instinct in this. Imagination is the only limit, and I’ve always had a vivid imagination.

It’s been a very intense year! Lots of things have happened since I wrote that post. I only stayed in Reno for a couple more months. After that I worked at a remote horse ranch for 8 months, and now I am back in California. Places can change, passions remains the same. Photography, nature, wide open spaces, and horses is as important to me as the air that I breathe, and of course my daughter will always be the most precious thing ❤
Thank you for being my friend here in the exciting world of blogging! Go ahead and inspire me, as I would love to inspire you! You know that YOU are the reason that I always bring my camera with me, right?
And, as always, if you’re interested in doing a project together, have me write a guest post, article, or use my photos, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
PS. As a side project I recently started another blog Vikings From Sweden. I’m originally from Sweden, and I lived there for 31 years. I have worked, and traveled all over Sweden. The past 5 years I’ve resided in the US. Teaching my American born daughter our language, and culture is something I consider very important. I know that my daughter is not the only one in the US with Swedish roots, so I decided to offer one and one, in person lessons with me, a native Swedish speaker. Lessons in your home, or at a public place (coffee shop etc.) Have you seen my new blog?
