The theme of the weekly photo challenge this week is Frame.
This week, I’d love for you to look at things a bit differently. Whether it’s through an actual picture frame, a few stalks of grass, or even the spokes of a bicycle tire, find an alternative frame to the world around you and share what you see!
My contribution is Trigger on my porch, framed by the railing. Show me your frames! Feel free to leave a link to your entry in a comment 🙂
Some people say that you shouldn’t look a horse in his eyes. I don’t think it’s a great idea to stare in a rude, or challenging way, but I can not help myself from getting lost in their beautiful eyes. They speak so loudly.
In this week’s photo challenge at the Daily Post the theme is Rare. These images shows three very rare eyes, belonging to three different young Paint Horses.
Show me your Rare!
I hope your week started out the best possible way 🙂

I have fallen in love with the imagination. And if you fall in love with the imagination, you understand that it is a free spirit. It will go anywhere, and it can do anything. – Alice Walker
I am a free spirit. I tell the truth, and I like to mix it up. – Ed Rendell
I’m just really a free spirit. You gotta be like that. ‘Cause life ain’t that complicated. It’s only that complicated when you make it that way. I just wanna wake up and move with the way it goes. If it’s meant to happen, it will happen. – Nayvadius Cash
I like to be a free spirit. Some don’t like that, but that’s the way I am. – Princess Diana
Nevada, wild horses, the smell of sage brush, that is how freedom is spelled in my dictionary! It’s a rare feeling, the feeling of freedom. I can’t live without it!
My goal is to capture the soul of individual horses, and share the emotional experience with you. I’m using a professional camera, allowing for generous printing of large wall art, to be cherished for many years to come. The photos in today’s post are available as acrylic fine art prints, ready for your walls. Click on the photos to see available sizes, and pricing.
Cheers to a Free Spirit Friday!
Don’t Let People Pull You Into Their Storm. Pull Them Into Your Peace. – Kimberly Jones
Whenever I feel that life is moving to fast, I stop. I seek out a horse pasture, a stable, or if I’m lucky enough to be in wild horse country I seek out a band of wild horses. I sit down and breathe. After a few minutes of this miracle medicine I feel connected to the present moment again. Breathing gets easier, and the stress disappears. It works, every single time.
The two foals on the canvases above, are wild horses, seeking comfort in each others company. I sat on a rock in the desert, watching them with my telephoto zoom lens for a couple of hours. They radiated an enormous sense of peace. I felt it from far away. Can you feel it?
Love & Light, Always
The most amazing rescue horse I ever met. A true survivor. From severely abused and aggressive, to amazing partner. Love heals.

The horse is doing one of two things: he’s doing what he thinks he’s supposed to do, or he’s doing what he thinks he has to do to survive.
— Ray Hunt, Horseman
I hope YOUR week got off to an awesome start!
