New Horizon

Happy Trails Wood Print featuring the photograph Happy Trails by Maria Jansson

This photo is taken at the start of the famous Tevis Cup, the world toughest endurance race. With the new year fast approaching, it’s difficult to not think about new years resolutions, and goals. Riding the Tevis Cup 2017, on a mustang I trained myself, was my goal. It was realistic when I set the goal, a couple years ago. Then life took me on some sidetracks. It’s no longer realistic to think that I will do this 2017, but I will one day. I’m simply to stubborn to give up on a goal. It’s the viking in me that refuses to give up.

Happy Trails (the photo in today’s post,) comes to life with the texture and added depth of a wood print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of thick maple wood. There are D-clips on the back of the print for mounting it to your wall using mounting hooks and nails (included). Ships within 2 – 3 business days.

That said, the new horizon that I see, is very appealing. I see myself getting more and more attuned to my homesteading goal, and at the same time fine tuning my photography niche. I like where I am going. I am happy, content, and excited at the same time. There is a lot of work ahead of me, and plenty of things for me to learn, and I like it. I thrive tremendously with goals to work towards. How about you? Do you set new years resolutions? Do you have a specific goal in mind for 2017? I would love to hear about it!!

All the best,
Maria Jansson

  1. Go Maria, go! Love your post… In life we must have targets, they help us to move forward… Each beginning of a year, I set up “My Word” for the 12 months to come and I aim to accomplish it… Have a nice day!

  2. I don’t set new years resolutions but I do set goals. I am currently on a long drive ( 3 days to South Florida) and I am thinking about and clarifying those goals. Hmm….. Anyway thanks for posting your lovely photo.

    • Thank you! I feel that goals are deeper, and more meaningful, as we often feel very strong about something that we consider our goal. Something worth fighting for. (New Years resolutions tend to be more of a whim, for most.. ) Road trips are great opportunities to clarify goals. I drive a lot, and it is usually very productive time. Is it because the new vistas opens up our minds, to new ways of thinking? Enjoy your trip!

  3. I’m wanting to lean into some of my fears revolving around certain talents I’m hoping to further develop! It’s been a while since I have set goals to help me achieve my dreams so I’m pretty excited! And nervous. Thanks for your thoughts!

  4. Sometimes we feel that because of timing it´s better to stay on track of what we´re doing, like you said about wanting to ¨fine tune¨your photography skills. As for me, I´ve started the gregorian new year by setting out to do the thigns that I love but never got to do before.

Loving it? Or not? Let me know!
