I’ve been living in the same house for almost 1,5 years. It might not sound like a long time for you, but it is a pretty long time for a gypsy soul like me. Last week I got a text from the owner, telling me that he wasn’t going to be able to keep the house. That it was going to be a short sale, or foreclosure. Very soon! I needed to find something else ASAP.
I do feel very sad for the owner of the house. I might be a little crazy, but along with some stress about the timeline, I’ve felt exhilarated. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to turn this into something good. Finding a positive stimulating surrounding, where my daughter can thrive. Something in line with my goals. That is exciting! I’ll keep you posted 😉
So now you know why I have been absent for a few days 🙂 Have an awesome weekend!

Gracefulness is a tricky quality — it manifests itself as an effortless, subtle harmony between a subject and its environment.
Graceful is the theme for this week’s photo challenge at The Daily Post.
Real, live, animal cats, are the image of graceful. I don’t know about this cat though..but we had lots of fun dressing up as cats.
I am blessed with three bonus kids this week, while their parents are on vacation. My daughter LOVES it! There’s been a lot of arts and crafts, dress-up, and fun imaginary games. We’re still having a winter storm, with lots of rain, and have been spending more time than usual inside (the youngest kid is only ten months.) It’s busy, busy, busy, with more fun than you can imagine! It’s another aspect that I enjoy very much, seeing my daughter interact with other children. Of course it would be a totally different thing if I always had four kids, but to borrow a few, from time to time, that is pure joy!
Have an awesome weekend! I know I will 🙂
I love taking morning walks with my daughter. It feels good to get exercise in the morning, and when you’re taking a walk with a 4 year old, you’re forced to be mindful. Many stops is an essential part of the adventure. Admiring the view, looking at animals, identifying the shapes of clouds (a dog, a dinosaur etc,) feeling the wind, smelling different scents, jumping in some muddy puddles..it’s all part of it. Every minute I spend in nature with my little girl is very valuable to me. There is no price tag on this, and this special time will not return. It’s true that every time is special with a child, and in life in general, but I am surely very grateful for this time. Right here, right now.
The best way to capture moments is to pay attention. This is how we cultivate mindfulness. Mindfulness means being awake. It means knowing what you are doing.

Right here, right now, is a priority for me. It’s a priority to spend as much time as possible with my daughter, in a positive nurturing environment, where she can thrive and develop her self according to her interests. I don’t believe there is a one size fits all model for parenting. Or for life. I do however believe that it is my responsibility to live fully present, enjoying right here, right now. For my daughter, and for myself. Life is in this moment.
Tell me your thoughts below!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first light this morning, walking through this walnut groove in northern California. The ambience created by the old crooked trees, the cold winter air, the frozen ground, and the sun conquering the morning inch by inch.
What have you photographed with exceptional ambience? Perhaps you’ve visited a spectacular garden, indulged in a candlelit dinner, experienced a roaring fireplace on a cold night, or enjoyed some laughter with friends in a wonderful place?
Join the weekly photo challenge Ambience! Feel free to post a link to your post in a comment. I’m trying to check out as many entries as possible. It’s always so inspiring to see many different takes on the same theme.
